Goin' to the Whitney with Wolfy today to see the Paul Thek retrospective. Wish we woulda went on Wednesday. Then I coulda said I went with Wolfy to the Whitney on Wednesday. ANYWAY...Good to be back in the city...
So far the only person I can find who was from Pontiac was Elvin Jones. I suppose he definitely had to get it outta him. But I wonder who exactly Gabriel was talking about in that song. Pontiac reformatory? Maybe it was Mezz Mezzrowe? Maybe Gabriel was reading Really the Blues?
